Who Am I

Hey guys! My name is Daniel, and I'm a second-year medical student. I came up with this idea after talking to fourth-years who told me how expensive rotations can get. So I made MedRM with the hope of helping healthcare students save money and build meaningful connections within the field. Thanks for being here!

How It Works

MedRM connects healthcare students and professionals going to the same area around the same time. Create a profile, add your upcoming trip, rotation, conference, interview, second look, or anything else, and the matching algorithm surfaces compatible roommates based on your dates, budget, housing preferences, and more. Send a roommate request, and if they accept, you both get access to each other's contact info in the Travel Hub.

What MedRM Does

• Match healthcare professionals for rotations, conferences, interviews, second looks, and more
• Rank potential roommates by compatibility score based on dates, budget, housing type, and preferences
• Keep contact info private until both parties agree to match
• Pair you one-to-one with a roommate the moment you both agree, no setup needed
• Provide a Travel Hub with curated housing, transportation, and meal links for each trip
• Send email and in-app notifications so you never miss a roommate request or match
• Protect user privacy and data with row-level security and verified institutional email sign-up

What MedRM Doesn't Do

• Provide medical advice or services
• Conduct background checks or criminal screening
• Verify professional credentials or licenses
• Guarantee roommate compatibility or outcome
• Manage housing agreements or leases
