How to navigate the website
A quick tour of where everything lives.
Dashboard (your home base)
- •Where you land after signing in.
- •Shows your match count, requests waiting on you, and upcoming trips.
Find Matches
- •Click "Find roommates" on a trip to see everyone heading to the same city on overlapping dates.
- •Works for any reason for travel: rotation, conference, interview, school, second look, research, or other.
- •Cards show open dates if someone is only partly matched, plus their flight-landing, housing-arrival, and departure times when added.
- •Only city and state are public. Your exact address and housing details stay private until you match.
Filters
- •Pre-filled from your saved trip preferences: budget, rental type, sex, specialty, institution, and more.
- •Filter by housing status too: still looking, or already found a place.
- •Changing a filter only changes who you see. It never edits your saved preferences.
- •Hit "Reset to my original preferences" to snap back to your defaults.
Connect
- •Tap "Connect" to send a roommate request, and pick the exact dates you need within the overlap.
- •Requested dates show on both sides, in emails and in your Waiting pages.
- •If they accept, see their contact info in the Travel Hub. Nothing is shared until both sides say yes.
- •Phone and LinkedIn are optional, so not everyone lists them.
Saved profiles
- •Tap the star icon on a card to save someone for later.
- •Your Saved list keeps them handy so you can send a request when you’re ready.
Waiting on you
- •Everyone who has sent you a roommate request.
- •Accept to see their contact info, or decline to pass.
- •Open it from the Dashboard stat card.
Waiting on them
- •Every request you’ve sent, with its status: Pending, Matched, or Declined.
- •Withdraw a pending request anytime. They’ll be notified.
Institution verification
- •Sign up requires an institutional email from an approved school, hospital, or healthcare organization (for example, a .edu address).
- •If your domain isn’t pre-approved, submit a request for review.
- •This keeps the platform limited to medical students, residents, fellows, and healthcare professionals.
Notifications
- •The bell alerts you to matches, incoming requests, declines, and pairing changes.
- •For matches, tap "View contact info in Travel Hub" to go straight there.
- •For other alerts, tap "View" to open the relevant profile. Either marks it read.
Roommate pairing
- •You pair up one-to-one. When you both agree, you’re matched and contact info is shared.
- •One roommate at a time for any dates, but a long stay can be filled by different people across different parts of it.
- •Each trip in your Travel Hub has a “Looking for a roommate” switch. Turn it off once you’re set, without affecting your other trips.
- •End a pairing for a trip from the Travel Hub; your roommate is notified and those dates reopen.
Travel Hub
- •Your private planning hub for each trip.
- •Includes a Trip Organizer: budget, contacts, move-in checklist, schedule, and notes.
- •Browse hotels and rentals on a live map, plus links to Airbnb, VRBO, Booking.com, Expedia, Kayak, Agoda, and TripAdvisor.
- •Categorized links for housing, car rental, transit, and meals. Everything is visible only to you.
Trip History
- •Past trips move here automatically once their end date passes.
- •They stay out of active matching but are kept for your records.
Profile & trips
- •Edit Profile is where you update your info, preferences, and contact details.
- •Add or edit trips from your Dashboard or the Edit Profile page.
- •Set preferences per trip (say, a higher budget for a conference). Trip settings beat your profile defaults when matching for that trip.
