Profiles & verification
Create a profile with a work or school email so others know you're a verified healthcare professional. Add your role, specialty, training year, lifestyle preferences, and a short bio. You control what appears on your profile, and your contact details are never shown until you have a mutual match.
Multiple trips, per-trip preferences
Add every rotation, conference, interview, second look, research trip, or other event you have coming up. Each trip has its own city, dates, budget range, and housing preferences, so a conference in May and a rotation in July can have completely different settings.
Find Matches & smart filters
See people heading to your city on overlapping dates. Filters for budget, rental type, institution, date overlap, and pets come pre-filled from your saved preferences. Change them to widen or narrow who you see, then hit "Reset to my original preferences" to snap back. Changing a filter only changes who appears and never edits your profile or your compatibility scores.
Conference connections
Heading to a conference? Type its name into the "Conference name" filter (try both the acronym and the full name, like "ASCO" and "American Society of Clinical Oncology") to surface people attending that same event in your city and dates. A separate "Show" filter lets you narrow results to healthcare students only or professionals only.
Compatibility scoring
Matches are ranked by a point system that rewards overlapping dates, how close you'll be to the same area, a matching budget range, and shared housing types. Scores come from profile and trip data. These are suggestions, and you decide who to reach out to.
Send a roommate request & match
Send a roommate request to people you'd like to room with. If they accept, it becomes a mutual match and you can exchange contact info in the Travel Hub. There's a limit of 10 pending roommate requests per trip to keep things intentional.
Per-trip roommate controls
Every trip in your Travel Hub shows who you're paired with and a "Looking for a roommate" switch you can turn off once you're set — without affecting your other trips. When plans change, end a pairing for a trip in one tap; your roommate is notified and those dates open back up for matching.
Travel Hub
A curated set of links for each trip: housing (furnished rentals, Airbnb, VRBO, and more), transportation, meals, and more. Plan your trip on a private day-by-day schedule, adding activities with a start time or a full time range, laid out on a calendar. Once matched, your roommate's contact info is available here too. Some links are affiliate links, booking through them costs you nothing extra but earns MedRM a commission that helps keep the platform free.
Notifications
Get in-app and email notifications when someone sends you a roommate request, when you have a mutual match, when a pairing changes, and for other important updates, so you never miss a connection.
Privacy & control
Download all your data as a file anytime, and permanently delete your account and data from your Edit Profile page. Decline or report users, block anyone from your results, and review Safety Guidelines before committing to any arrangement.
